Service Area

SAT assigns the services present in the Areas of its network through subconcession, via public procedures that include two main phases:

1. the collection of “Expressions of Interest” from Operators following the publication of the Solicitation by SAT;
2. the sending of the request for proposal by SAT to qualified operators.

Following the receipt of proposals and their evaluation, SAT defines the successful operator of the service in accordance with the relevant regulations, with the consequent signing of the related Service Agreement Contract.

For services that will be assigned in subconcession, competitive procedures starting from 2025 will be carried out pursuant to the specific ART Resolutions (130/22 and 1/2023) as well as the Decree of July 5, 2015, and quality indicators will be defined in accordance with the provisions of Measure 15 of Annex A to resolution no. 130/2022 and Measure 15 of Annex A to resolution no. 1/2023 of ART.

For oil and food service sub-concession contracts that will be assigned following the competitive procedures carried out pursuant to ART Resolutions 1-2023 and 132-2024, SAT will publish in aggregate form the results of the monitoring and price control provided for in the sub-concession contracts.

There are 3 service areas on the highway: Savalano Ovest, Fine Est and Corneto Ovest*. The areas are equipped with spacious parking lots, facilities for people with disabilities, nurseries, and food service. They also provide facilities for refueling with petrol, diesel, and LPG gas.

At Km 68+500 of the Civitavecchia – Tarquinia section, southbound, there is the Mignone West Parking Area equipped with 3 cameras, 17 heavy vehicle parking spaces and 25 light vehicle parking spaces, plus one space reserved for differently abled persons.
